Put on a play about Rudolph and Father Christmas!
Our woodland Stores and Theatre is still one of our best selling products at Christmas time partly due to the fact that it can be a Theatre or a shop! It can be played with from both sides making this a great toy to invite friends over for a performance or a session of pretend play shopping! We have created a sweet craft activity for you to download and print out at home.
Handling one or 2 glove puppets and re-enacting a story is a complex task for a toddler but an important one for them to master as it leads on to skills needed at school....Developing bilateral coordination sets the foundation for future learning and is essential for school readiness.
We all know how important it is to encourage our kiddies to think imaginatively because it helps them to create, grow, think and play. Theatre is wonderful place where children can see the endless possibilities of their imaginations and what they can do.
Stories are a safe way for children to learn and understand human emotions and its through stories that children start to learn empathy. Theatre storytelling can expose children to emotions more effectively than reading storybooks can. It can bring to life all sorts of issues, presenting children with emotions they may not have experience in real life...Plus it gets them away from too much screen time and technology!
Christmas time is a magical time to take them to the theatre, and one of my favorite places for children to get really involved is the Polka Theatre in Wimbledon.
The have some great performances on this season so why not check them out?
