Are we nearly there yet?

Are we nearly there yet?

Are we nearly there yet?

We’ve got some great games for your next car journey to stop your little ones shouting ARE WE NEARLY THERE YET?!
To start off we’ve got a free print out that you can download below and take with you in the car! Make sure you have a print out for every passenger who wants to play, then all you need is a pencil each and see how many of the vehicles you can tick off on your print out. The winner is the person with the ticks! Check out the link here to download! We have some great car toys available perfect for little hands, and check out our tow-truck for something a little different!
A favourite in our car is the “I went to the shops” game which the whole car or just the children can enjoy. One player starts the game by saying, 'I went to the shop and I bought.. they then add a shop item eg, an apple. Then the next person says, 'I went to the shop and I bought a banana and a (they need to recall what the previous person bought here) apple'. Each player must say what they are buying at the shop AND all the previous items that each person has bought in correct order! If they cannot remember it all in order they are out of the game! The winner is the person that stays in the longest!
And finally there’s the “Name That Tune” game!
Name That Tune is quite self-explanatory. Each player takes it in turns to hum a theme tune or pop song until someone guesses correctly. For the extra competitive, you could even add bonus points for naming the year the song was written and what album it was from or who started in the film/cartoon!
Enjoy!
